HOMEMANDATEThe Amina Anthropological Resources Association Incorporated is a non-profit organization that raises funds to research, preserve, protect and promote cultural, natural heritage and artistic resources in northern locations, and to inform the public about those resources through educational and public-relations programs. These research programs, under social science and pure science auspices, will also serve to benefit local economies. Our efforts largely focus on aboriginal culture and history.
As a team, we undertake anthropological, archaeological, natural history and scientific research in cold climate areas, both Arctic and sub-Arctic. One of the integral and most enjoyable parts of this research is to make our results available to local organizations, as well as groups and individuals to enhance community economic development opportunities through cultural, artistic and heritage-related tourism endeavours. Therefore, in addition to researching and publishing our efforts in academic journals we also establish various education-related and promotional programs, including archaeology and/or natural history field-schools, documentary film projects, student scholarship programs, music, theatrical and graphic arts events and other educational or social programs as deemed appropriate by the Association’s Board of Directors.
